A TV anime adaptation of Naoki Yamakawa (story) and Akinari Nao (art)'s fantasy manga Hyakuman no Inochi no Ueni Ore wa Tatteiru / I'm Standing on a Million Lives is set to premiere in Japan in October 2020. The anime's official website opens today with a teaser visual and a 70-second teaser PV.
The manga has been serialized in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine and its latest ninth tankobon volume will be available in Japan next Monday, March 9. Its English edition has been published by Kodansha USA since July 2018. The publisher introduces its synopsis as below:
Yusuke doesn’t care about getting into a good high school. He just wants to get away from people and make it home to his video games. But when he suddenly finds himself in a real-life fantasy game alongside his two gorgeous classmates, he discovers it’s not as easy as he thought, especially when there’s a headless man “from the future” assigning him missions and his character class is … farmer. Before long, the unlikely trio find that they’re not just battling for their own lives, but for the lives of millions!
Kumiko Habara (Angolmois: Record of Mongol Invasion assistant director) makes her TV series directorial debut. Takao Yoshioka (Boarding School Juliet) serves as series composition writer, MAHO FILM (If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord) works on anime production,
